At Better Choices Psychiatry, we provide thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care for adults 18 and older. Our treatment approach integrates medication management (when necessary), psychotherapy, and behavioral modifications to support meaningful, lasting change. We believe every session should be tailored to your needs. Our initial intake and standard session is a full 60 minutes—perfect for a comprehensive combination of medication management, psychotherapy, and behavioral exploration. However, we also understand that some visits might focus solely on medication check-ins, so we offer 30‑minute follow‑up appointments—ideal for reviewing progress and making adjustments without the full hour commitment.

Treatment Schedule

We typically meet with patients once every four weeks, but we recognize that more frequent appointments may lead to faster progress—particularly when working through active symptoms, recent changes, or complex issues. If greater support is needed, we are happy to adjust the meeting frequency to best serve your needs and treatment goals.

Appointment Fees

  • 60-Minute Intake Evaluations ($800): A comprehensive first appointment focused on understanding your current concerns, mental health history, and treatment goals. This session includes diagnostic assessment, discussion of potential treatment options (including therapy and/or medication), and the beginning of a personalized care plan tailored to your needs.

  • 60‑Minute Comprehensive Sessions ($800): Ideal for combined medication management & therapeutic work, deeper discussion of patterns, emotions, and goals—giving you plenty of time to go beyond symptom checks and work toward meaningful insights.

  • 30‑Minute Medication Follow‑Ups ($400): Available for patients who are already established and just need a focused medication review, dosage adjustment, or side‑effect check‑in.

All appointments are billed at $800 per hour. We are an out-of-network provider, meaning we do not accept insurance, but can provide a superbill for potential reimbursement from your insurance company. Payment is due at the time of service.
